It is a course of 6 workshops which will be spread out over 4 months. The workshops will be 10am-4pm and cost only £40 per person per workshop, places are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Aimed at beginners we will look at understanding the terminology of, and working from a basic pattern to make an item of choice. We will look at selecting suitable fabrics, cutting out the pattern, and making the item.
Topics to be covered over the 6 week course will include: Starting out - equipment, patterns & taking measurements, basic stitches, seams, hems and fastenings.

Please bring with you a tape measure, dressmakers pins, chalk/chalk pencil, seam un-picker, hand sewing needles, fabric remnant/matching cotton, as appropriate pattern & fabric and your sewing machine. If you do not have these products they can be bought in store on the day (apart from sewing machines and patterns)

*Light refreshments are provided on all full day classes i.e. tea/coffee & biscuits. You are welcome to bring a packed lunch to any class. Payment must be made in full at the time of booking. Should we make changes to the date and time of your class we shall attempt to give you as much notice as possible. If you do not wish to attend the rescheduled class then a full refund will be given. If you wish to book a class please telephone or call in to the shop to check availability before sending payment. We happily accept credit card or debit card payments over the phone.
